Rhewl will now play Llandegla, home and away in the semi-final. The other semi-final will be llandrillo versus Pwllglas

A competition was organised by the council for any village wishing to take part, and Rhewl becme the first trophy winners.
In 1988 Rhewl purchased their own mat and equipment, and the Rhewl bowling club was formed with Frank Davies in the chair, Wendy Harness as secretary, and Gwynedd Jones as treasurer.
The constitution states that 75% of the membership should be residents, or past residents of the parish.
Following boundary changes, and the disbanding of the Glyndwr council the club continued to play against other clubs on a friendly basis for a few years, it was then decided by the club to try to get matches to be played in a more competitive situation, and eleven other clubs were invited to Rhewl to discuss the possibillity of this happening.
As a result of this meeting the Clwyd Vale Indoor Bowling Allience was formed, with clubs from Llandrillo in the south to Llansannan in the north.
Frank Davies was elected to become the chairman, with Delwyn Lewis of Llandrillo taking on the duel role of secretary and treasurer.
The clubs are drawn into four groups of three who then play each other, home and away with the winner of each group going on to the semi-final; a nine-a-side knock-out cmpetition is also played.
The club meets on a Monday night from the beginning of September untill the following Easter, and any new members from the parish would be made very welcome.
